Director of Information Technology
Michel received a M.Sc. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Mons in 2003 and a Ph.D. in Particle Physics from the University of Louvain in 2008. He also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Nikhef Institute in Amsterdam between 2008 and 2010.
His research work was focused on phenomenology at CERN experiments and Monte Carlo simulations, in particular in the context of the hunt for the Higgs boson. He is one of the authors of MadGraph 4 and 5, two highly successful simulation packages totalling over 2000 citations. In 2010, he joined McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm, as a junior associate consultant and worked on projects in strategy and marketing/sales for clients in various industries. One year later, he helped founding Novapta, He is also invited lecturer at the Louvain University, teaching Physics both at elementary and advanced levels.
Michel is responsible for all the IT development activities of Novapta. He is passionate about teaching, social sciences, and new technologies, an is also an avid photographer and happy dad!
